Friday Night Youth Recreational League (Spring 2013)

The Spring 2013 Friday Night Youth Recreational is co-ed and for individual players only – no teams! It’s a great league to help kids learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball. The league offers 6 games plus a single-elimination tournament. Games start on Friday, May 10 (NEW START DATE!); practices will be on Sunday evenings. Final evaluations for team placements will take place on Friday, May 3, from 6 to 7 pm.
 
*COED League*(for individuals only – no teams)
Grades:
K-8th (K-1st, 2nd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th)
Reversible jerseys will be provided
Friday night games/Sunday night practices
Games will take place from 6 to 8 pm on Fridays
6 games plus single elimination tournament
Awards to winning teams
League runs May 10 – June 21 (Note: dates subject to change)
Cost: $200 per child

 Monday Night Competitive Youth League (Summer 2013)

The Spring Monday Night Youth League is for competitive teams only – no individuals! It’s a great league for kids to grow their competitive basketball abilities, and is for boys teams and girls teams*, 3rd – 8th grades. The league begins on Monday, July 8. 

For boys teams and girls teams (teams only – no individuals)*
Grades:
3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th 
Teams must provide their own uniforms
Games will take place from 6 to 9 pm on Monday nights
6 games plus single elimination tournament
Awards to winning teams
League runs July 8 - Aug. 19 (Note: dates subject to change)

Sunday Night Free-Agent High School League (Summer 2013)

Think you got skills on the court? Prove it! Hoops Free-Agent High School Basketball League will take place on Sunday nights starting in July.  Bring a team or sign up as free agent and we’ll place you on a team. The league begins on Sunday, July 7, 2013, and is open to male and female players and teams.

Free agents will receive 2 practices at Hoops (date/times TBA)
Volunteer coaches needed for Hoops teams!
T-shirts for winning teams in each division

LEAGUE NOTES: 

  • For high school aged (9th – 12th grade) teams, all levels welcome; individuals may sign up as “free agents” to be placed on teams (2 practices will be provided for teams made up of free agents)
  • Players must be 18 years old or younger; any players over the age of 18 must play in the men’s league 
  • Teams must provide their own uniforms*
  • Each team must have a coach who is over the age of 18. NOTE: The coach cannot be a player in the team roster! (Volunteer coaches wanted for Hoops teams)
  • Games will consist of 18-minute halves
  • Each team must have 4 players present to begin the game. A 5th player must be present by the beginning of the 2nd half in order for the game to count. Otherwise, it will result in a forfeit for the offending team. 
  • No player can participate for more than 1 team in any particular league
  • Team rosters may consist of up to 10 players
*NOTE: All players must have a reversible Jersey to play (no tee-shirts). A Hoops jersey may be purchased for $25 (free agents must purchase a Hoops jersey). Every player on a team must have the same color jersey as the rest of their team. Each player must have a number on their jersey that is different than any other player on their team. THERE SHALL BE NO TAPE NOR SHARPIES USED TO MAKE NUMBERS.  EACH JERSEY MUST HAVE A REAL NUMBER ON THE FRONT AND/OR BACK. Blank jerseys will not be accepted as the number zero. Each number may not be more than 2 numerals.
